Had a very positive delivery experience with Pita Pan! They were doing a BOGO on their food items. We took advantage of their BOGO gyros, which is a very good deal. Their Fresh Cut Fries were regular fries, soggy upon arrival due to the time in between, but nothing an air fryer couldn't save. We tried the Chicken Gyro and the Pork Gyro, each $13.95. The Pork had more aroma and firm texture to better fit the gyro, compared to the dry Chicken. The fries included inside the gyro took me by surprise, and added an interesting starchy texture to every bite. What really sealed the deal for me in enjoying these wraps, are the SAUCES. There were so many to choose from, and I don't even know what my choices exactly consisted of, but it added an enticing creaminess to it. Without it, the gyro would have felt lacking and dry. If you're in Astoria, consider this as a quick meal recommendation! I'm sure it's even better eaten fresh.
Good quality chicken gyros. I come here for lunch or dinner at least twice a week. 2 gyros are only $10 and it takes 5-10 minutes to prepare. They have indoor seating. The people at the counter are always nice. I like that they are always so fast and the food is always fresh. One of my favorite spots in Astoria to go to for a quick bite.
My husband & our family love ordering pita pan for takeout dinner (at least once a week). We always stick with the gyros. Chicken gyro is our favorite. We add in feta and tzatziki sauce and it is the perfect combination. Just like the box says it's always fresh, fast & tasty!!
Ordered: Daily Special (~$10): 2 pita sandwiches (chicken gyro + beef gyro (+50¢), fries, and a soda; with chipotle aioli Aya's take: Available from 11am-3:30pm and definitely a deal to take advantage of! The meal is super filling but I must say it's mostly carbs. The chicken and beef gyro meats could've both been fresher and better flavored, but they were still pretty good. The tzatziki sauce gave it some nice freshness and the fries were super crispy. All in all, a solid lunch and only ~$11 for all this food.
I've been ordering takeout from pita pan since high school .. SO YEAH it's been a while haha - this is definitely a staple place for takeout. They have a variety of options - gyros, salads, wraps & bowls! They have souvlaki, gyro & even veggie options like falafel & zucchini fritters! I always order the bowl with chicken / pork gyro & lemon potatoes / rice pilaf. It's $10.95, you get pita & tzatziki on the side! All the prices are reasonable & the food is always good! Big portions - friendly staff & quick! They have a pretty big area to enjoy your food inside as well if you don't want to wait till you get home to eat!! (I've had those hangry days!)
Tried delivery form Pita Pan tonight and to my delight, it hit the spot . I started with a really inexpensive Chicken gyro , loaded of course (onions, French fries , tomatoes, lettuce and Tzatziki). The Gyro was tasty but Oh My My My My My - the Greek Popcorn Chicken was amazing !
